"Past Experiences With Research Papers"

I have not had good experiences with writing research papers. I have only had to do two research papers and neither time was good. I can never find good information for my research papers. When I use someone else work most of the time I don’t cite them right mostly because I don’t know how. I find writing research papers very boring and I don’t like it.

Why Is Higher Education Still Talking About Race?

According to Cantor higher education continues to talk about race because the failure to discard the legacy of Jim Crow has our nation so segregated that the students do not see themselves as equals.

I agree with Cantor the main reason that race is still such a strong subject in higher education is because students do not consider themselves equals. There’s always a race that believes they are better than others or on a higher level than others.  I have seen a few situations where a student has said to another that they were better because of their race.  A situation like that proves that they do not see themselves as equals.

Peer Review

Peer review can really help because as you hear someone else read your story and hear their opinions on it, it shows you the things you need to correct and the things you might need to take out of your story. Also reading your story out loud to one of your peers you might find a lot of mistakes and things that you might want to change. Peer review really helped me with my paper. Getting someone’s thoughts and corrections help me to make my story much better.

Learning something new can be very scary especially when you’re young.
I remember when i was about nine years old and i wanted to learn how to skate so badly. Everyone in my apartment complex was always going skating around the park and i was the only one that was still on a bike. One day i decided to try and teach myself how to skate. When i first started i thought it would be easy and that i would be skating in no time. But i was so wrong after a while i started practicing when no one was around because the other children would call me names and laugh at me. They called me spaghetti legs and butter feet which i thought was the dumbest thing ever but it still hurt my feelings. After a few weeks of falling flat on my butt and being laughed at i decided to never try and skate again. I once again became very upset because i was the only one at the park not skating other than the babies that played in the sand box. Even though i wanted to be skating so bad i was to scared to try again.
Then one day i remember hearing someone saying you can’t be afraid you have to keep trying and never give up. I do not remember who i heard say that it might of been on a cartoon or TV show but all i know is i wanted to skate more than ever. So i started practicing again and i also got some help from one of the older girls her name was Julia. She was very nice and helped me every day. After about two weeks i was skating. I couldn’t skate fast or do any crazy tricks but i wasn’t falling anymore.
